On 13 April at 7:30pm there will be a Zoom re-launch fundraiser to mark the new broadcasting licence period for the station.
It doesn't need me to tell you that the days we are living through are very uncertain and unsettled. With such a backdrop the opportunity for the gospel is huge as people are in need of real hope. It is therefore very timely for Cross Rhythms Plymouth to receive a 5 year licence extension to share the hope of Jesus through media to Plymouth and further afield online.
We want to maximise the opportunities to reach people through the radio and online media in this new licence period.
The station is charity run and relies on support to keep broadcasting. It costs around £29,000 annually to run the station at its present level and it currently receives around £10,000 annually as relatively guaranteed income from regular donors. As a result the fundraising events for the station are critical.
£29,000 allows little room to grow and so the team are looking to increase their budget to around £50,000 annually to reach as many people as possible.
This event will serve as an opportunity to hear the vision for the radio station going forward and, if you so wish, to support it financially. There will be an auction on the night with fantastic lots to bid on to raise money for the station.
We would love for as many people to join us on the night as possible and so if you are able to share this with your fellowships we would be very grateful.
If you would like to attend yourself, please email me on [email protected] and I will send you the Zoom link.
